Jeri has been a fan of Penn Jillette for a long time. So when the opportunity came to work with him, she was beside herself. Penn is not just as brilliant and funny as he seems on stage. He is one of the kindest, most thoughtful human beings we have ever met. After working with him, every single person in the studio was completely enamored. And he digs our straps.
We have had the privilege of creating three custom guitar straps for Penn, each one a reflection of the man himself.
The No God Strap
The most storied of the three. Both tips are airbrushed in flames by David Karns. The front rises from those flames into a deep blue sky that sweeps up and over Penn's shoulder. The back tells the full story: kidskin angels with circle-slash "no" symbols at the top, darkening down Penn's back through kidskin devils, also marked with the circle-slash, ending in flames and hell at the bottom tip. Heaven to hell. No god. No devil. Penn wore this strap on the final episode of the season of The Apprentice that he competed in. To the chagrin of the producers. Because of course he did.
The Ampersand Strap
Black chap leather with kidskin overlays featuring the iconic Penn & Teller ampersand logo. Classic, bold, unmistakable.
The No Martyrs Strap
Black chap leather with kidskin text overlays. The photos say it best.
These straps were made for Penn Jillette and are not available for commission. If you'd like to discuss a custom strap of your own, reach out to jeri@jeridesigns.com.
