Chris Kelley builds guitars the way some people build dreams. His '57 Bel Air-inspired Stratocaster, called Belle Aria, is designed around the curves, colors, and soul of the classic car. When it came time for a strap, he didn't just describe what he wanted. He sent paint samples.
Seafoam green and antique white, the same colors on Belle Aria. And because Chris thinks in details, he also sent along a cardboard mock-up of the strap design. We loved it immediately.
The inset features a kidskin tuck-and-roll, made to match the seat upholstery style found in some of the most beloved cars of that era. It's the kind of detail that makes you look twice.
Chris calls it a '57 Chevy Bel Air. Jeri's thinking Nash Metropolitan. But then again, she's always thinking about a Nash Metropolitan.
