Alan Parsons is one of the most revered figures in the history of recorded music. As the engineer behind Pink Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon and The Beatles' Abbey Road and Let It Be, and as the creative force behind The Alan Parsons Project, his work has shaped the sound of rock for generations. We had the extreme honor of creating a custom guitar strap for his 2020 tour. We're still a bit gob-smacked by it.
The Front
The front of the strap draws from Eye in the Sky, one of the most iconic Alan Parsons Project albums. Custom texture-painted kidskin overlays bring the imagery to life, and the strap is accented with blue cabochons.
The Back
The back is a masterpiece in its own right. Airbrushed by David Karns, it features imagery from Alan's album Magic alongside an extraordinarily detailed portrait of Alan himself, rendered in kidskin overlays. The layering gives the work a remarkable three-dimensional quality, it has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
