This is the strap Jimi Hendrix wore at the Isle of Wight Festival three weeks before his death. David Gilmour's wife later purchased the original at a Sotheby's auction as a gift for his 60th birthday. This handcrafted Custom Jimi Hendrix Replica Guitar Strap recreates it exactly as Jimi wore it.
The original has faded from its vibrant purple to brown over the decades, and we believe the skinny brown lacings were replaced at some point with beige suede lacings. The extra shoulder piece Jimi had appears to have been lost before David came to own it. We have researched all of this carefully, and our replica reflects the strap as it existed when Jimi wore it, with the X lacings positioned exactly as they appeared on him.

Built from purple suede with brown lacings and a brown leather tip, this is made entirely to your custom length. With only 4 to 5 inches of adjustability, we need your exact measurement to create yours properly.
How to measure: Lay your current strap flat and measure from the center of one peg hole to the center of the other. The length you provide will be the center of your adjustment range, with a couple of inches on either side.
