When Jeri got the chance to collaborate with Dennis Cregan II (aka Denny “Bag O’ Donuts”) on this strap, it was a reunion worth celebrating. Dennis worked for Jeri when he was about 12 years old — pounding out guitar straps, holding his own, and proving early on that he had serious skillz (and was an excellent badminton partner). He’s all grown up now, and still a creative genius. This strap shows it.
We started with black chap leather and built the design from layered kidskin leather overlays. The front features crackled and airbrushed kidskin — a combination of two of our most distinctive techniques — each piece glued down and meticulously stitched with clear thread. The back takes a completely different direction: the Dodgers logo and tomahawk rendered in true Dodger Blue, because sports fans are purists about their colors, and we respect that.
