This custom guitar strap was created for a man and his two best friends. It honors the memory of Zap and Beau, two beloved dogs who are gone but will never be forgotten. Two dogs. One strap. A lifetime of love on leather.
The portraits of a Border Collie and an Australian Shepherd are built from kidskin leather overlays, painstakingly cut and layered to capture each dog's likeness with real accuracy. Each piece is glued down for precision, then meticulously sewn to the all-leather strap with clear thread. The photos included show the progression of how these overlays are built up, layer by layer, before the final piece comes together.
