This strap was a true collaboration, and one of our most cherished.
We adore Bill Franco, and we absolutely loved his mother, Charlotte. When it came time to make Bill's strap, Charlotte jumped in with both hands. She needlepointed the dragon herself, worked with Jeri on the design, and brought something to this piece that no one else could have. Charlotte came from a family of shoemakers, so she understood leather as well as anyone we've ever worked with. It showed.
Charlotte has since passed, and this strap stands as a tribute to her and the love she had for her son. We know Bill will treasure it for a lifetime.
Belt leather base, painted black with red beveled edges. Charlotte's needlepointed Dragon is inset beneath the leather, with crackle-painted kidskin scroll designs across the rest of the strap.
