Keith Richards wears a Jeri Hart strap. This is that strap.
We started with belt leather, softened and broken in using our own methods until it had exactly the right feel. It was dyed turquoise, then painted black, with the edges beveled to frame the black with the turquoise underneath. Genuine Python overlays were added across the body, surrounded by individually hand-placed blackened nail-heads. The strap was then embellished with Kingman Turquoise Cabochons, each one backed in high quality suede, and finished with our in-house oxidized hardware buckle system.
The nail-heads deserve their own explanation. Every single one is placed by hand. Two holes punched, the nail-head set in place, the long legs folded down on the back. It is painstaking work. But those nail-heads will never, ever fall out.
The Kingman Turquoise is the finest turquoise in the United States. It is also among the most expensive. We use it anyway, because nothing else is the same.
This is one of the most complex straps we make. There is nothing else like it.
