Some things deserve to come back around.
This strap was made for a dear friend, "New York Deadhead," who has a deep love of Lost in Space and an equally deep love of extraordinary leather. We built it on deer tanned leather, which is in a category all its own. Incredibly soft, supple, and finished with a powdery feel that has to be touched to be understood.
The design is modeled after the front of the original Lost in Space Robot toy box, complete with the logo, the Robot, and the "Authorized" tag that appeared on the box, all rendered in kidskin leather overlays. For anyone who grew up with that show, and especially for anyone who remembers that toy, this strap is a reunion of sorts.
Custom guitar straps around here are not just about how they look or how they feel on your shoulder. Sometimes they bring something back. We hoped this one did exactly that.
