The Remissions are a group of brilliant, multi-talented cancer doctors, researchers, and healthcare workers from Moffitt Cancer Center who also happen to make music together. The name says everything. They are great people and we adore every single one of them.
One of the doctors commissioned all six of these straps as surprise Christmas gifts for his bandmates. Six straps, six unique designs, all kept secret. We loved every minute of making them.
The front of each strap features the band name in their logo font, consistent across all six so every member matches. Flip it over and the back carries each member's personal name in their own unique font, chosen just for them. The mixing board imagery is equally personal — each strap has its own completely different layout, rendered entirely in kidskin leather overlays, hundreds of tiny rectangles hand-cut and layered in whites and shades of blue, mimicking faders, buttons, and channels, then meticulously stitched down one by one.
Six band members. Six original works of art. One very thoughtful doctor.
