This strap starts with belt leather, softened and broken in using our own methods until it has exactly the right feel. It is dyed turquoise, then painted black, with the edges beveled to frame the black with the turquoise underneath. Genuine Python overlays are added across the body, surrounded by individually hand-placed blackened nail-heads. Each nail-head is punched by hand, set in place, and the long legs folded down on the back. It is painstaking work, but those nail-heads will never, ever fall out.
The strap is then embellished with Kingman Turquoise Cabochons, each one set in a long prong silver rim and hand-set. They will never fall out. Kingman Turquoise is among the finest, and most expensive, turquoise in the United States. We use it anyway, because nothing else is the same. The back of the strap is finished in black suede. The strap is completed with our in-house oxidized hardware buckle system.
