Nobody replicates this strap correctly. We do.
When the exact woven strap Jimi Hendrix wore at Woodstock was re-released, we got one immediately. It was pretty awful, backed with plastic, super thin, with cheap hardware and flimsy tips. So we did what any serious craftsperson would do: we tore it apart, pulled off the plastic backing, threw out the plastic tips, trashed the hardware, and made a real strap out of the beautiful woven piece that was left.
Here's what most replicas miss entirely: Jimi wore this strap upside down, a natural result of playing a right-handed guitar left-handed. The orientation of the pattern is not decorative, it's historically accurate, and we are one of the very few makers who get this right.
We stitched that original woven textile onto a base of gorgeous, supple Chap leather, added black Kidskin tips and a full suede backing. Eyelets at the adjustment holes allow the textile to run the full length of the strap. The whole thing is finished with our signature blackened brass adjustment buckle, engineered to distribute the weight of your guitar evenly across your shoulder, making it one of the most comfortable straps you'll ever wear.
